*As exciting as it is to receive your special prize waiting for you, please, refrain from "digging" in your candles! You don't want to risk damaging not only the jewelry itself, but also the wicks. If you feel you cannot wait for your special surprise (we know how anxious you are), you can heat the entire candle up to melted wax and retrieve your special surprise with a tool such as tweezers. However, we do not recommend this method either. Every time you heat up the candle, fragrance is being released. If you would like to experience the full effect of a 3-8-1 Candles candle, please, let the candle burn to reveal your special surprise.
*Be sure to trim the wick to 1/4 inch. If the flame starts to get high, you see black smoke emitting from the flame, or you see a "mushroom" top forming, trim the wick.
* Don't let candles burn less than 1/4 of an inch from the bottom. Wax is a fuel to help a candle wick burn, when the wax is nearly gone the heat from the candle can make glass burst like a little explosion. Accidents like this often happen when candles are not monitored closely.
*Try not to burn candles for more than 4 hours at a time. Doing so can make for a hot jar which can be too hot to touch. Touching a jar when hot can cause spills and ultimately fires. If you want to burn a candle for more than 4 hours simply extinguish it and let it cool for a few moments until the wax gets hard. While it is cool, trim the wick then relight it and you'll be good to go.
*Never leave your candle burning while it is unattended.
*Keep the candle out of drafts. If the candle looks like it is starting to burn uneven, it is most likely caused by a draft.
*To continue to bring the highest quality that 3-8-1 represents, at times we do test our jewelry. The testing happens in inconspicuous places that absolutely does not affect the jewelry itself, nor the person wearing it. There might be a slight "scratch" where the test was taken place, but it will never be viewable by people admiring your pretty jewelry. Also, please note - the residue from this test is always washed off, however, we are human and can possibly miss a spot or two. This residue can be easily removed with gentle soap and water.
***Please note*** Due to the circumstances of any broken jewelry, 3-8-1 Candles is not held responsible for any broken jewelry. We apologize for any inconvenience, however, the number one cause of this is "digging" for your jewelry. Every candle is hand poured and every piece of jewelry is thoroughly inspected before being placed within. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
